Terry Haste
“The magic of tailoring is that you never have the perfect garment – If you think you have the perfect garment you might as well retire.”
From an early age Terry Haste knew what he wanted to do with his life; in 1971, at just 15 years of age, he started as an apprentice at Savile Row firm Anderson & Sheppard.
In the mid- 1970s Haste joined the royal tailor Hawes and Curtis, where he met Kent and Lachter. He moved to work as head cutter at rock and pop tailor Tommy Nutter in the 1980s, and in the early 1990s he set up the bespoke department at Hackett. After a number of years at Hackett he moved to Huntsman as Head Cutter and Managing Director. At this time Haste was a judge for the Golden Shears Award.
In 2004 he left Huntsman and established an independent business before accepting the invitation to join with Kent and Lachter in 2010.
